Berkeley County man admits to drug conspiracy

 MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – Curtis Davis, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, has admitted to drug distribution, Acting United States Attorney Randolph J. Bernard announced.
 
Davis, age 30, pled guilty to one count of “Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine Base.” Davis admitted to having 28 grams or more of cocaine base, also known as “crack,” in June 2019 in Berkeley County.

Davis faces at least five and up to 40 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $5,000,000. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey A. Finucane is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Drug Enforcement Administration investigated. 

U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Trumble presided.
