BJA is sponsoring a solicitation webinar on its Emmett Till Cold Case program solicitation on February 17, 2021

BJA is sponsoring a solicitation webinar on its Emmett Till Cold Case program solicitation on February 17, 2021 at 1 pm ET.  The webinar will provide an overview of the program and the funding opportunity.  This program supports cold case murder investigations and prosecutions that may have been based on the victim’s race and occurred prior to December 31, 1979.  These investigations and prosecutions can include efforts to assist and work with the victims’ families and other community members impacted by these crimes.

Tribal law enforcement and prosecution who are pursuing older cold case murders as part of their Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP) and collaborations with Lady Justice task forces are encouraged to consider this funding opportunity to support their work.

To register, see:  https://ojp.webex.com/ojp/onstage/g.php?MTID=e53fb83aece53f882cad8d47aeee2cbc7.   Awards will be for up to $500,000.  The solicitation closes May 11, 2021.  FY 2021 Emmett Till Cold Case Investigations and Training and Technical Assistance Program | Bureau of Justice Assistance (ojp.gov)
