On April 3, 2007 through April 6, 2007, a Christian Law Enforcement summit will be held at the LifeWay Glorieta Conference Center in New Mexico. The mission of the Christian Law Enforcement Summit is to provide tools for character and ministry. The summit was designed by police officers and will be delivered by police officers for police officers. The Law Enforcement Summit provides an interactive process where Christian police officers and their spouses, by talking about their own life experiences, can share strengths and successes in maintaining their faith - faith in themselves, faith in others, faith in the SYSTEM and faith in a loving God. According to event organizers, “Often the only place a law enforcement officer feels safe is with fellow officers. It is easy to see how - given the day to day assault on these officers, that without God's strength - they can become bitter, disillusioned and even abusive veterans. This conference is designed to say, "It is okay to be a cop and be a Christian."
Workshops include:
The Road To Financial Freedom
Critical Incident Stress Management for the Family
Spiritual Leadership
Responding to the Call w/ Christ’s Spirit
My Marriage at Work & Home
Defining the Law Enforcement Chaplaincy
Recovering From Stress
