Police Officer Books

Police-Writers.com is a website dedicated to listing state and local police officers who have authored books. The website added three police officers Gerald Garner, John Jardine and Victor Kim to the list of 576 police officers who have written books.

Gerald W. Garner is Chief of Police of the Greeley Police Department (Colorado). He is a 36-year veteran of law enforcement, having commenced his policing career as a patrolman at the Victoria, Texas Police Department in 1969. He spent 30 years with the nationally acknowledged Lakewood, Colorado Police Department, retiring at the rank of division chief in 2003. He then went on to become the Chief of Police for the Fort Lupton Police Department (Colorado), and now, the Chief of Police for the Greeley Police Department.

Gerald Garner is the author of over 200 magazine and journal articles on law enforcement topics. Many of the articles address officer safety subjects. He has also authored six books on policing. He instructs widely and has served as a guest lecturer at the Federal Bureau of Investigation's National Academy at Quantico, Virginia and for the International Association for Chiefs of Police.

John Jardine was twenty-one when he joined the Honolulu Police Department. Over time, he became a Honolulu Police Department legend. His autobiographical look at cases from the 1920s through the 1940s, is an exceptional look at underworld crime and Crimes in Honolulu.

Victor J. Kim was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. He began working for the Honolulu Police Department in 2004. His book is The Unofficial Honolulu Police Department Training Academy Guide: Tips and Advice on How To Succeed.
