Renner Man Sentenced on Drug Charges

PIERRE, SD—United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Renner, South Dakota man charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance was sentenced on April 11, 2011, by United States District Judge Roberto A. Lange. Kenton Bryce Perry, age 33, was sentenced to 33 months in custody, three years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment to the Victim Assistance Fund.

Perry was indicted for conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance by a federal grand jury on May 11, 2010. Perry pled guilty to the charge on January 24, 2011.

The investigation was conducted by the South Dakota Highway Patrol and the Northern Plains Safe Trails Drug Enforcement Task Force. The case was prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Ted L. McBride. Perry was immediately turned over to the custody of the United States Marshal.
