Center for DWI Courts Webinars

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), through the National Center for DWI Courts, is conducting an online survey on all DWI Courts and hybrid DWI Courts (handling DWI and drug cases) to collect information on procedures, services, case flow and other characteristics of DWI Court programs. A webinar will be held April 22, 2015, at 2 p.m. EDT to provide an overview of the upcoming NHTSA survey and survey website. Participants will learn how the survey intends to determine the effectiveness of different DWI Court components and identify which types of services work best with which types of clients.

On April 23, 2015, at 2 p.m. EDT, a webinar will be held on Building Community Partnerships and a Strong DWI Court Team, which is the second in a series on the Importance of Data and Evaluation to Sustainability. The webinar will feature the Harbor Justice Center, Newport Beach, California DWI Court. The Honorable Matthew Anderson details the framework for building a strong team and community coalition to support and sustain their DWI Court. An advocate of collecting data and evaluation, Judge Anderson explains how his court is able to show similar results highlighted in Part I of the series and what it means in building support and sustainability.
