New Resources Added to SchoolSafetyInfo.org

Several new resources have been added to www.schoolsafetyinfo.org, the award-winning National Institute of Justice school safety website.
  • U.S. Department of Education, School Climate and Discipline provides tools, data and resources to increase awareness of the prevalence, impact and legal implications of suspension and expulsion; find basic information and resources on effective alternatives; and join a national conversation on how to effectively create positive school climates. http://www2.ed.gov/policy/gen/guid/school-discipline/index.html
  • 32 National Campus Safety Initiative, a program of the VTV Family Outreach Foundation, empowers college and university campus communities to make informed decisions about campus safety. Resources include a free self-assessment survey tool for institutions of higher education to use in conducting an objective analysis of a full range of institutional safety and security facilities, policies and procedures. http://www.32ncsi.org/
The Office on Violence Against Women, Center for Changing Our Campus Culture, is an online clearinghouse providing prevention and response resources for colleges and universities on sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking. Visit http://www.changingourcampus.org/
