Smart Police Initiative Webinar Focuses on Addressing Mental Health Concerns

On Nov. 2, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. eastern time, the Bureau of Justice Assistance SPI will present a webinar on "Community Responses to People in Crisis." This webinar will focus on the role of policing in assisting communities in addressing mental health concerns and describe a range of response strategies for agencies to consider. The webinar will feature three case studies of law enforcement response models to mental health, from the Pinellas County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office, Los Angeles Police Department and Salt Lake City Police Department.
