U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans announced that EDDIE JAMES, age
40, of New Orleans, was sentenced today for a one-count Bill of Information
charging bank robbery.
According to the Bill of Information, JAMES robbed the
Fidelity Homestead Bank at 1201 S. Carrollton Avenue in New Orleans on November
2, 2017.
JAMES was sentenced to 39 months imprisonment, three years
of supervised release and restitution in the amount of $1,114 to the Fidelity
Homestead Bank at 1201 S. Carrollton Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana.
U.S. Attorney Evans praised the work of the Federal Bureau
of Investigation in investigating this matter.
Assistant U.S. Attorney David Haller is in charge of the prosecution.
