ATF Offers $10K for Information on Riverside Gun Store Burlgary


RIVERSIDE, California – Special Agent in Charge Bill McMullan of the Los Angeles Field Division, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) today announced ATF is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrests for firearms stolen from a federal firearms licensee (FFL).

 A burglary occurred on Wednesday, Sept. 26, around 6 a.m., at Bullseye Sports, 6710 Brockton Ave., Riverside, California. Three suspects broke in and stole two firearms, Inland model M1 Carbine and Springfield model M1 Garand. Surveillance video shows suspects were driving a light colored E Class Mercedes with plates possibly ending with 311, and a dark colored SUV Mercedes with paper plates.

WANTED SUSPECTS:

1. Black male approximately 25 to 35 years old, 5’09”, and 180 lbs. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, black beanie, and black shoes with white soles. He had a moustache and possibly a goatee.

2. Black male in his 30’s, 5’05” to 5’07”, and 165 lbs. He had facial hair and was wearing a black dickies style jacket with white writing on the left breast, black pants, black shoes and a black durag. Suspect also had a shiny earing in his left ear and shoulder length dreadlocks.

3. Light-skin, black male, 5’10” and 200 lbs. He was wearing black glasses, grey shirt with a blue, long-sleeved shirt underneath. Suspect was also wearing black pants, black shoes, and a black beanie.

 “ATF is committed to quelling the trend of stealing firearms from licensed gun dealers,” said McMullan. “When firearms are obtained through illegal means, they are then typically transferred into the criminal world and used for violence. We are asking for the public’s help in tracking down those responsible.”

 ATF is working with Riverside Police Department in identifying the suspects and the whereabouts of the stolen firearms. ATF is offering $5,000 and the National Sports Shooting Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, is offering $5,000 for a total reward up to $10,000. This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and ATF in which NSSF matches up to $5,000 of ATF’s reward in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers. ATF works closely with members of the firearms industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.
