Notes From the Field: Research as Responsible Practice


The National Institute of Justice's Notes From the Field presents lessons learned by law enforcement executives and other on-the-ground leaders from years of experience and thinking deeply about law enforcement issues. In a recent entry, John Wetzel, with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, explains how his agency is adapting a more consistent policy that builds on strengths in areas of a program that showed positive outcomes, such as aromatherapy in restrictive housing units.
