ATF Offers Reward in Arson/Homicide Investigation


ATF, USMS and Page County Sherriff’s Office Seek Public’s Help in Arson/Homicide Investigation

Page County, Virginia —The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, in conjunction with the Page County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S Marshals Service, are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect who is currently on the run, Timothy Thomas Comer. Comer is wanted on a felony charge of allegedly possessing a firearm after being convicted of a felony and is a potential suspect in a Page County, Virginia, homicide. He is considered armed and dangerous.

On June 29, 2023, just after 5pm, the Page County Emergency Communications Center, received a call about a man in the 5600 block of Jollett Road in Elkton, Virginia. Once law enforcement arrived, they found a 69-year-old man dead from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Investigators from the Page County Sheriff’s Office began investigating this case as a homicide and listed Timothy Thomas Comer as a person of interest. Then on July 10, 2023, the Page County Sheriff’s Office announced they were investigating a suspicious fire that happened on July 9, 2023, in the 5000 block of Jollett Road in Elkton.

The Page County Sheriff’s Office, ATF and the USMS are offering a reward of up to $7500 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect at large. An anonymous donation has now made the reward a total of up to $10,000.

$5000 Reward Offered in Hildale, Utah Explosives Theft



SALT LAKE CITY–The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office are requesting the public’s assistance for information on the recent theft of high explosives from an explosives bunker located near Hildale, Utah.

On August 7, 2015, an ATF explosives licensee discovered explosives had been stolen from his lawfully permitted explosives storage bunker located in Hildale, Utah.  Unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the storage bunker and stole (70) pounds of high explosives.

“The theft of explosives is a serious crime, and one that presents a danger to the public,” said Brian Embley, ATF Resident Agent in Charge. “We are asking for the public’s help in our effort to apprehend and convict those responsible.”

ATF and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the recovery of the stolen explosives or the arrest and conviction of those responsible. Theft and possession of stolen explosives is a federal crime that is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. ATF Offers Reward in Gun Store Burglary



ATF, Firearms Industry Offer Reward in Tarrant Firearms Theft

 Tarrant, Ala. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in conjunction with the Tarrant Police Department and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) – the trade association for the firearms industry announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction for those responsible for the theft of firearms from the Birmingham Pistol Parlor, a federal firearm licensee (FFL). ATF is offering the reward in the amount of $ 2500.00 which will be matched by the NSSF for a total reward of up to $ 5000.00. This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and ATF in which NSSF matches ATF’s reward in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers. ATF works closely with members of the firearm industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.

On August 3, 2015, the Birmingham Pistol Parlor, 1833 Pinson Valley Parkway, Birmingham, Ala., was burglarized and a total of approximately twenty firearms were reported stolen to the Tarrant Police Department.
