ATF Offers $2,500 Reward in Arson of a Florida Sporting Goods Store

TAMPA, Fla. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has announced a reward of $2,500 for information in the arson of Florida Champs Sports Store in Tampa on Sunday. ATF is offering a $2,500 reward for the identification of the individual involved.  

This federal crime occurred in the University Mall area and an individual was seen tossing a flaming object into the broken window of Champs Sports Store located at 2831 East Fowler Avenue in Tampa. This crime is being investigated by ATF and Tampa Police Department.  

ATF and our law enforcement partners are committed to ensuring our communities are safe and that those who violate federal laws are held accountable. At the request of the Attorney General, ATF has deployed resources and is supporting our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to uphold the rule of law. These resources include ATF’s Special Agents and Special Agent Certified Fire Investigators to assist in arson investigations and provide valuable technical and intelligence support. Our Special Response Teams are assisting our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners in both protecting the public and property.

Information can also be sent anonymously to ATF via the Report It mobile app (www.reportit.com), using the Tampa Field Division as the location or text the code ATFTAM to 63975 and then follow the link to create a report.
