New Solicitation: Research on the Impact of Public Policy on Racial and Ethnic Disparities in the Justice System, Fiscal Year 2021

 With this solicitation, NIJ seeks applications for funding of investigator-initiated proposals for evidence-based, nonpartisan analyses of existing evidence to examine how observed racial and ethnic disparities in the justice system might be reduced through public policy. NIJ seeks applications in two categories:

1. Research to Identify Policy Interventions
2. Secondary Analysis of Data from Relevant Existing Studies

In FY 2021, applications will be submitted in a new two-step process, each with its own deadline:

1. Submit an SF-424 and an SF-LLL in Grants.gov.
   Step 1, Grants.gov, Deadline: June 11, 2021, by 11:59 PM ET
2. Submit the full application including attachments in JustGrants.
   Step 2, Application JustGrants, Deadline: June 21, by 11:59 PM ET
