Recidivism Challenge Webinar Transcript and Slides

 

NIJ hosted a webinar on May 6, 2021 to discuss the open Recidivism Forecasting Challenge, which included a Q&A. The webinar transcript and presentation slides are now available online.   About the Recidivism Forecasting Challenge  NIJ is engaging data scientists to help improve the ability to forecast recidivism using person- and place-based variables with the goal of improving outcomes for those serving a community supervision sentence. Findings could directly impact the types of factors considered when evaluating risk of recidivism and highlight the need to support people in specific areas related to reincarceration.
