School Safety: Research on Gathering Tips and Addressing Threats

 

A warning that someone is planning a school shooting can save lives if it is received and acted upon in a timely manner. Research has shown that individuals who plan to conduct a school attack typically share that information with someone else.   The field is just starting to learn how to collect tips and how to respond to school violence threats.
