Twin Cities man indicted for possessing child pornography

MINNEAPOLIS - A 53-year-old Robbinsdale, Minn., man was recently indicted in federal court for allegedly possessing more than 2,500 images of child pornography. Bradley Allen Cornelius is specifically charged with one count of possessing child pornography.

The indictment alleges that on May 14, 2009, Cornelius possessed material that contained a visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents learned about Cornelius through a nationwide investigation into a website hosting child pornography. They reportedly seized a computer, four compact discs and several printed images of child pornography from his residence.

If convicted, Cornelius faces a potential maximum penalty of 20 years in prison with a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years.

ICE encourages the public to report suspected child predators and any suspicious activity through its toll-free hotline at 1-866-DHS-2ICE. This hotline is staffed around the clock by investigators.

Suspected child sexual exploitation or missing children may be reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, an Operation Predator partner, at 1-800-843-5678 or http://www.cybertipline.com/.
