Wanted Poster Placed on FBI.gov

The FBI’s Boston Division is seeking the public’s assistance to locate an Ayer man who was charged in federal court with production, distribution, and possession of child pornography.

On March 7, 2011, United States Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz and Richard DesLauriers, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Boston Field Division, announced that THOMAS A. DONAHUE, 44, was charged in a complaint with production of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, and possession of child pornography. The complaint alleges that Donahue engaged in those activities between March of 2010 and February of 2011. If convicted on these charges, Donahue faces up to 50 years in prison, to be followed by supervised release for not less than five years and up to life, and a $250,000 fine.

On April 7, 2011, the FBI placed a wanted poster of Donahue on its website to facilitate the public’s assistance in locating Mr. Donahue. The wanted poster includes his physical description and a list of aliases that he may be using. The wanted poster can be found at http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/cac/thomas-a.-donahue/view.

The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the charging and arrest of Mr. Donahue. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the FBI at (617) 742-5533 or Ayer Police Department at (978) 772-8200.

The details contained in the complaint are allegations. The defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
