On December 20, 2011, at approximately 1:45 p.m., a bank robbery occurred at Franklin Bank located at 1527 East Lake Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The robber, who was described as a white male, entered the bank and approached the teller counter with a handgun. The robber demanded and received cash from the victim teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber fled from the bank.The robber was described as a white male in his mid 30s. He stood approximately 6’0” in height and had a medium build. He wore a black mask, a khaki jacket, a grey cap, black gloves, and blue jeans. The robber also brandished a small handgun during the robbery. The FBI believes the serial robber nicknamed “the man in black” to be responsible for this robbery.
