Webinar: Exploring Active Shooter Response and Training

An extensive study conducted by the FBI and Texas State University examined active shooter incidents to help law enforcement officers prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from these incidents. The study also resulted in lessons learned, and public safety strategies for handling active shooter events have evolved. A webinar to be held Feb. 17, 2016 at 2 p.m. ET will provide law enforcement officials with an overview of the research and analysis of active shooting incidents from the last several years and will share information regarding training strategies and best practices for law enforcement response to an active shooter. The webinar will also provide information on U.S. Department of Justice training and resources available through the FBI and the Bureau of Justice Assistance VALOR Initiative and the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Program.
