PITTSBURGH - A resident of Donora, Pennsylvania, has been
sentenced in federal court to 60 months imprisonment, followed by four years of
supervised release, on a charge of conspiracy to possess with intent to
distribute and distribution of over 500 grams of cocaine, United States
Attorney Scott W. Brady announced today.
United States District Judge Cathy Bissoon imposed the
sentence on George Daube, age 61.
According to information presented to the court, between
August and November of 2015, George Daube was intercepted over a Title III
court authorized wiretap purchasing approximately five ounces of cocaine at a
time from his supplier. Based on the calls and texts intercepted between Daube
and his supplier, Daube purchased over 500 grams of cocaine during the
timeframe of the conspiracy. Daube’s supplier, William Chaffin, Jr., was
sentenced on September 17, 2017, to 15 years in prison followed by five years
of supervised release.
Assistant United States Attorney Shanicka L. Kennedy
prosecuted this case on behalf of the government. The Federal Bureau of
Investigation conducted the investigation leading to the prosecution of Daube.
