Harrisburg, PA - United States Marshal Martin Pane announced
today that the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force arrested
Taijeem Gibson, 24, in Harrisburg, PA.
On June 16, 2016, the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task
Force and other law enforcement agencies arrested Gibson in the 900 block of
Eisenhower Blvd in Harrisburg, PA without incident. Gibson was wanted by the
York City Police Department for burglary, aggravated assault, robbery and
possession of firearm prohibited. Another warrant was issued by Pennsylvania
Parole for violations of his parole where his original offense was weapon
possession. It is alleged that Gibson forced entry into a residence in York,
pistol whipped and robbed the victim before fleeing the scene.
United States Marshal Martin Pane stated, “The U.S. Marshals
Service Fugitive Task Force will continue to work with our law enforcement
partners to locate and apprehend those who are wanted for serious crimes. Our
communities will not be a safe haven.”
The USMS worked jointly in this investigation with personnel
from the York City Police Department, Pennsylvania Board of Probation and
Parole, York County Sheriff’s Office, York County District Attorney Office,
Harrisburg Bureau of Police and the Swatara Township Police Department.
