BUFFALO, N.Y. - U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr.
announced today that Damar Currie, 42, of Buffalo, NY, who was convicted of
possession with intent to distribute, and distribution of cocaine, was
sentenced to 54 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys Patricia Astorga and Timothy C.
Lynch, who handled the case, stated that between December 10, 2014, and March
31, 2015, the defendant possessed and distributed cocaine and crack cocaine. On
three occasions, Currie sold cocaine in exchange for money. In addition, the
defendant utilized 55 Krupp Avenue and 24 Palos Place, both in Buffalo, for the
purposes of manufacturing, distributing, and storing cocaine and crack
cocaine.
The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the
Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Acting Special
Agent-in-Charge Kevin P. Lyons.
