TUCSON, Ariz. – Today, Emmanuel Ahumada Flores, 32, of Tucson, Ariz., was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Jennifer G. Zipps to 14 years’ imprisonment. Flores had previously pleaded guilty to one count of abusive sexual contact with a child.
Flores admitted
to engaging in abusive sexual contact with a child under the age of 12 between
January 2013 and August 2015. Both
Flores and the victim are members of the Pascua Yaqui Nation.
The investigation
in this case was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Pascua
Yaqui Police Department, with assistance provided by the Arizona Department of
Public Safety. The prosecution was
handled by Matthew C. Cassell and Heather N. Siegele, Assistant U.S. Attorneys,
District of Arizona, Tucson.
