U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans announced that SEAN BRIGGS,
a/k/a “Big Sean,” a/k/a “Big C,”, age 33, was sentenced today to 60 months
imprisonment for one count of Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug
Trafficking crime in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section
924(c)(1)(A). U.S. District Court Judge
Carl J. Barbier additionally sentenced BRIGGS to five years supervised release
following his 60-month term of imprisonment and a $100.00 special assessment
fee.
U.S. Attorney Evans praised the continued coordinated effort
of federal and state law enforcement authorities, including the United States
Attorney’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s New Orleans Gang Task
Force, and the New Orleans Police Department.
Assistant United States Attorney Elizabeth Privitera is in charge of the
prosecution.
