HARRISBURG - The United States Attorney’s Office for the
Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Earl T. Cook, Jr., age 55, of
New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, was sentenced on September 25, 2019, by United
States District Court Judge John E. Jones III, to five years’ imprisonment
followed by five years’ on supervised release, for receipt of child
pornography. Judge Jones also ordered
Cook to pay an assessment of $5,000 under the Justice for Victims of Trafficking
Act.
According to United States Attorney David J. Freed, Cook
admitted to receiving child pornography over the internet between October 2014
and March 2015, in New Cumberland.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of
Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney James T. Clancy prosecuted the
case.
