BOSTON – A Holyoke man pleaded guilty today in federal court
in Springfield to distributing heroin.
Alexis Santana, 18, pleaded guilty to an Indictment charging
him with distributing and possessing with intent to distribute heroin. Judge Mark G. Mastroianni scheduled
sentencing for June 30, 2020.
According to court records, Santana sold heroin on Oct. 7,
2019 in Holyoke.
The charge of distributing and possessing with intent to
distribute heroin provides for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, to be
followed by at least three years of supervised release and a $1 million dollar
fine.
United States Attorney Andrew E. Lelling; Joseph R.
Bonavolonta, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation,
Boston Field Division; Colonel Christopher Mason, Superintendent of the
Massachusetts State Police and Holyoke Police Chief Manny Febo made the
announcement today. The case is being
prosecuted by Todd E. Newhouse of Lelling’s Springfield Branch Office.
