Detroit,
MI - Investigators from the United States Marshals Service, Detroit Fugitive
Apprehension Team known as DFAT, have arrested a suspect wanted in the murder
of a 21-year-old female found shot to death in a room at the Corktown Inn on
Detroit's West side in the early morning hours of April 19.
The
victim, Ninoshka Nueves-Figuera, was found with multiple gunshot wounds to her
body. It is alleged that the suspect may have been targeting women online and
would later rob.
The
suspect was arrested at a home located on Detroit's West side after DFAT
investigators received several anonymous tips which provided information that
led directly to the apprehension of this dangerous predator.
US
Marshal for the Eastern District of Michigan, Robert M. Grubbs said “when law
enforcement and the community work together, this is the result.”
Anyone
with information on any other women who may have been targeted are urged to
call the Detroit Police.
The
Detroit Fugitive Apprehension Team is comprised of the USMS, CBP Air &
Marine Division, Detroit Police, Dearborn Police, Flint Police, Hamtramck
Police, ICE, Livonia Police, Macomb County Sheriff, Michigan Air National Guard
, MDOC-ARU, Michigan State Police, Oakland County Sheriff, Sterling Heights
Police and Wayne County Sheriff.
