U.S. Marshals Take Down Home Invasion Suspect



Durham, NC – This morning, Miguel Lucas, Jr., a 19 year old, Black Male was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF) and the Durham Police Department (DPD). Lucas was wanted by the Durham Police Department on a total of 18 counts that included: Breaking and Entering, Second Degree Kidnapping and Assault by Pointing a Gun.

Through surveillance and other investigative techniques, JFTF located Lucas and arrested him without incident at 3518 Mayfair, Building 4, Apartment 207.

One of the warrants issued on May 27, 2013 alleges that Lucas entered an occupied residence with the intent to commit larceny therein. Lucas allegedly kept the resident against his will by confining the resident in the domicile by allegedly pointing a gun at the resident.

The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service, Chapel Hill Police Department, Durham Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, High Point Police Department, Winston Salem Police Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Probation and Parole Division and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
