Richmond, VA – This morning at 08:30 AM, Jeral Thomas Ore
Jr., a 37 year old, Black Male was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Capital Area
Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF). Ore was wanted by the Durham Police
Department for failure to appear on the charges of Statutory Rape/Sex Offense,
Second Degree Kidnapping, and Indecent Liberties with a Child. It’s alleged
that these incidents occurred in 2007, the Durham Police Department issued the
warrants in 2009 and Ore was arrested. On February 4th, 2010, Ore failed to
appear in court on these charges and subsequently, a failure to appear warrant
was issued for Ore.
Through a Crime Stopper’s Tip, Ore was located and taken
into custody by the CARFTF without incident at the Rainbow Motel at 4611
Jefferson Davis Highway.
The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle
District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals
Service, Chapel Hill Police Department, Durham Police Department, Greensboro
Police Department, High Point Police Department, Winston Salem Police
Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, Orange County Sheriff’s Office,
the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Probation and Parole Division
