U.S. Marshals Arrest NH 'Fugitive of the Week' in Tennessee

Concord, NH - Last evening, this week’s “Fugitive of the Week,” Ramie Marston, 47, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Corryton, Tennessee. Marston was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for violating her conditions of supervised release. Marston was on supervised release as a part of her sentence for her 2010 conviction for bank fraud.

As part of the U.S. Marshals fugitive investigation, Marston was just featured as the “Fugitive of the Week” yesterday morning. The “Fugitive of the Week” was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, The Manchester Ink Link and prominently featured on the internet. The “Fugitive of the Week” has been a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007. Additionally, the “Fugitive of the Week” is distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers.

The “Fugitive of the Week” feature led to multiple tips that all pointed to a Corryton, TN address. This information was forwarded to our US Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Knoxville, who quickly followed up on these tips, which resulted in Marston’s arrest last evening in the 7000 block of Ridgeview Road in Corryton. Marston was brought to the Knox County Jail for processing and holding pending her initial court appearance later today at the US District Court in Knoxville, TN. It is expected that Marston will be held in custody pending her return to NH to face her supervised release violations.

Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 6,539 arrests (Updated as of 10/18/2016).These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 7 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
