ATF Offers Reward in School Explosives Incident



ATF, Trussville Police Department and Crime Stoppers Seek the Public’s Help in Trussville School Explosive’s Incident

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in conjunction with the Trussville Police Department and Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama, have announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction for those responsible for the explosive incident at the Magnolia Elementary School.

On Nov. 16, 2016, a suspected explosive device was recovered at the Magnolia Elementary School, 5400 Hidden Way Lane. The Trussville Police and Fire Departments, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad, ATF, FBI initially responded to the incident. The bomb squad rendered safe the suspected explosive device. The Trussville Police Department, ATF, Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) are continuing with this investigation.

ATF is offering the reward in the amount of up to $2,500, for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the incident.
