U.S. Marshals Arrest This Week’s 'Fugitive of the Week' in Worcester, Mass.



Concord, NH - This morning, this week’s “Fugitive of the Week” Megan Cullen, 29, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Worcester, Massachusetts. Cullen was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for parole violations. Cullen was on parole as a result of her original conviction and sentence for burglary and disposing of a firearm.

As part of the U.S. Marshals fugitive investigation, Cullen was featured as the “Fugitive of the Week” this past Wednesday. The “Fugitive of the Week” was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, The Manchester Ink Link and prominently featured on the internet. The “Fugitive of the Week” has been a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007. Additionally, the “Fugitive of the Week” is distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers.

This week’s “Fugitive of the Week” feature led to several tips that pointed investigators to the Worcester, Massachusetts area. Based on these tips and follow-up investigation done by deputy U.S. Marshals in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, Cullen was located and arrested without incident at a residence on Olean Street in Worcester, Mass. Cullen is being charged as a fugitive from justice based on the outstanding NH arrest warrant. Cullen will be held at the local jail pending her return to New Hampshire.

Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 6,539 arrests (Updated as of 10/18/2016).These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 7 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
