Report: Considerations and Recommendations for Implementing an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Program
This report covers a number
of emerging issues and concerns on the use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS)
by state, local and tribal law enforcement and public safety agencies discussed
at a two-day convening of experts hosted by the National Institute of Justice
in Washington, D.C. in August 2015. The report provides information for law
enforcement and public safety agencies considering UAS as part of their
operations. It also serves as an introduction to the issues for the interested
public who may have questions, concerns or curiosity about the impact this
