U.S. Marshal’s 'Fugitive of the Week' Found in Concord Apartment



Concord, NH - Early this afternoon, this week’s “Fugitive of the Week,” Robert Clark, 28, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in a Concord, New Hampshire apartment. Clark was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Concord Police Department for failure to register as a sex offender. Clark is required to register as a sex offender for life, based on a 2009 conviction for possession of child pornography.

As part of the U.S. Marshals fugitive investigation, Clark was featured yesterday as the “Fugitive of the Week.” The “Fugitive of the Week” was aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, The Manchester Ink Link and prominently featured on the internet. The “Fugitive of the Week” has been a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007. Additionally, the “Fugitive of the Week” is distributed statewide to all law enforcement officers.

After receiving anonymous tips and conducting numerous interviews throughout Concord today, information was developed indicating that Clark was originally living in a tent in Concord, but after seeing himself as the “Fugitive of the Week,” he went into hiding at an associate’s apartment. Today, members of the NH Joint Fugitive Task Force were able to locate Clark sleeping in an apartment in the 100 block of South State Street. Clark was located and arrested without incident. Mr. Clark was transported to the Concord Police Department for processing and holding pending his initial court appearance.

This arrest was made by the cooperative effort of several members of the US Marshal’s, NH Joint Fugitive Task Force, including; the Strafford, Hillsborough, & Rockingham County Sheriff’s Offices, along with deputy US Marshals and the Concord Police Department.

Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 6,628 arrests (Updated as of 12/27/2016).These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 7 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
