SWIFT Task Force Arrests Wanted Sex Offender



Las Cruces, NM - Deputy U.S. Marshals assigned to the U.S. Marshals Service Southwest Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) arrested fugitive Damarco Neal. Neal was wanted by the State of Illinois, Madison County, Third Judicial Circuit for Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child (X-2) and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse of a Child. Deputy U.S. Marshals in the Southern District of Illinois, St. Louis developed information that Neal was residing in the Albuquerque, NM area. Neal was consequently tracked down across multiple states and jurisdictions and safely apprehended in the area of Menaul Blvd and Sierra DR. NE, in Albuquerque, NM. The SWIFT task force officers involved in the fugitive investigation and arrest represent the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, the New Mexico Probation and Parole STIU (Security Threat Intelligence Unit), and the U.S. Marshal’s Office.
