An Eastlake man was indicted in federal court of child
pornography charges.
Craig A. White, 40, was indicted on one count of receipt and
distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child
pornography.
The indictment charges that from on or about July 3, 2017
through on or about March 6, 2019, , White received and distributed files
contained visual depictions of real minors engaged in sexually explicit
conduct. The indictment also charges that on June 10, 2019, White possessed a
computer tower with several internal and external hard drives that contained
child pornography.
If convicted, the defendant’s sentence will be determined by
the Court after review of factors unique to this case, including the
defendant’s prior criminal record, if any, the defendant's role in the offense
and the characteristics of the violation.
In all cases the sentence will not exceed the statutory maximum and in
most cases it will be less than the maximum.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States
Attorney Carol M. Skutnik following an investigation by the Federal Bureau of
Investigation Child Exploitation Task Force.
A defendant is entitled to a fair trial in which it will be
the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
