March 17, 2010 - An indictment was filed today against Idris Manior charging him with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, announced United States Attorney Michael L. Levy . The indictment alleges that on June 7, 2009 Manior possessed a Smith & Wesson, Model 422, .22 caliber semiautomatic pistol, serial number TBJ7836, and eight rounds of CCI .22 caliber ammunition recovered as spent shell casings.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a federal initiative designed to identify and prosecute firearms offenders in federal court, where the defendant is likely to receive a substantial sentence upon conviction.
