The FBI Seeks Help in Identifying Suspect Linked to Taking Over Bank Accounts

The FBI is seeking the public's help in identifying a male suspect who takes over unsuspecting victims' bank accounts and steals their money in the Bay, Sacramento and Reno areas.

The suspect is a white male between the ages of 50 to 60; about 5 feet 9 inches tall; weighing about 140 to 160 pounds. He has a medium build and is balding with brown hair and green eyes. He is wanted in connection with a series of crimes starting in April of 2009.

In an April 2009 incident, the suspect entered a Wells Fargo bank and withdrew money from a stolen account. In that same month, the suspect was seen exiting a white or gray sports utility vehicle and entering a gold coin shop in Roseville.

The suspect was also seen during the time period of March 5 to 9, 2010. During that time, he entered several then-Wachovia (now, Wells Fargo) bank branches in San Francisco, South San Francisco and San Mateo, impersonated the victims and withdrew money from their accounts.
