According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court:
On Nov. 24, 2010, Arslan sold approximately 300 80-milligram oxycodone pills to an individual on the corner of Alps Road and Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne, N.J., in exchange for approximately $8,400. Oxycodone is a highly addictive prescription painkiller that can only be dispensed by a medical professional or pharmacist.
In addition to the prison term, Judge Linares sentenced Arslan to three years of supervised release.
U.S. Attorney Fishman credited special agents of the FBI, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Michael Ward in Newark, with the investigation leading to today’s sentencing.
The government is represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Shirley U. Emehelu of the Criminal Division in Newark.
