Omaha Man Gets 10 Years for His Role in Distributing Methamphetamine



United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that Juan Carlos Garcia, age 26 of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced on September 10, 2012, to 10 years in prison by United States District Judge Laurie Smith Camp, for his involvement in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in Bellevue and South Omaha in the spring of 2011. More than three pounds of methamphetamine were distributed during the course of the conspiracy that lasted from February 1, 2010 and continued through November 16, 2011. Garcia is a citizen and national of Mexico, and will be deported upon the completion of serving his prison term.

This case was the result of a joint investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bellevue Police Department, the Omaha Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations.
