ATF Offering Reward in Rochester Homicide

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the homicide of Robert Mitchell Jr. (pictured below) on July 6, 2016.

On the morning of July 6, 2016, Mitchell’s body was found in a remote section of LaGrange Park, 455 LaGrange Boulevard, Rochester, N.Y. His body had been set on fire.

Mitchell, 37, who was 6’ 9” tall, was known to frequent the Monroe Avenue area in Rochester, N.Y. He was last seen alive at approximately 5:30 p.m. on July 5, 2016, walking eastbound past O’Callaghan’s Irish Pub on Monroe Avenue. He was wearing jeans, a brown hoodie, and a Pittsburgh Steelers backpack.
