PREA Data Collection Activities, 2019

   The U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Statistics has released PREA Data-Collection Activities, 2019. This report, the ninth in a series that began in 2011, describes activities during 2018 and 2019 by BJS to collect data and report on the incidence and effects of prison rape, as required by the Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003. This report meets the PREA requirement for BJS to report on its activities for the preceding calendar year by June 30 of each year. Access the report at http://www.bjs.gov/.
