FBI Violent Crimes Task Force Seeks Information on Bank Robberies Reward Offered
March 12, 2010 - The FBI Violent Crimes Task Force is seeking information regarding two armed bank robberies which occurred in the Baltimore area on Thursday, March 11, 2010. The first robbery occurred at approximately 10:18 a.m. at HARBOR BANK, 1001 East Lancaster Street, Baltimore, Maryland. Two unknown male subjects entered the bank and approached the teller counter. One subject proceeded to vault the teller counter and directed bank employees to the floor at gunpoint while the second subject controlled the bank lobby. The subjects, armed with handguns, were able to flee the bank with an undetermined amount of U.S. currency. The subjects were described as black males, approximately 35-40 years of age. Subject #1 was described as approximately 5’7” in height, heavy-set, and was wearing eyeglasses. Subject #2 wore a dark sweatshirt and a dark cap.
The second robbery occurred at approximately 1:06 p.m. at FIRST MARINER BANK, 7007 Security Boulevard, Woodlawn, MD. An unknown male subject entered the bank and approached the teller counter. After announcing a robbery, the subject displayed a handgun, and subsequently fled the bank with an undetermined amount of U.S. currency.
The subject, described as a black male, approximately 5’8” in height and wearing eyeglasses.
It is not believed that the two robberies are related.
A reward is being offered by the FBI for information leading to the identification and arrest of any of the subjects shown in the surveillance photographs. Anyone with information should contact the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force at (410) 265-8080. All calls will be kept confidential.
