“Butterfingers Bandit” Robs Bank, Drops the Cash

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force needs your help identifying a woman dubbed the “Butterfingers Bandit” after she robbed the J.P. Morgan Chase bank located at 12401 South Post Oak Road in Houston, Texas, earlier today. After robbing a teller, the woman turned to leave, dropped the cash, and uttered an expletive before picking the money back up again. The bank’s surveillance equipment captured several pictures of the “Butterfingers Bandit” during the robbery.

At approximately 9:25 a.m., the woman entered the bank and waited in line before approaching a teller. At the teller station, she handed the teller a note demanding money. The woman placed her purse on the counter and held her hand just inside as if she were indicating she had a weapon. The teller gave the woman some cash, but as the she turned to exit the bank, she dropped the cash, and uttered an expletive, causing everyone else in the bank to look at her. She then picked up the money and left the bank. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The “Butterfingers Bandit” is described as a black female, 40-45 years old, approximately 5’3” - 5’6” tall, 190-200 pounds, with a large build and a dark brown complexion. She wore a black cap with the New Orleans Saints emblem, a long-sleeved blouse, dark pants, and was carrying a purse during the robbery.
