Seeking Information on Robbery of InterBank Branch in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the robbery of InterBank, 1201 W. Memorial Road, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 2:25 this afternoon, a black male entered the bank carrying a shotgun. He demanded money from the bank employees and threw a bag down on to the teller counter. The bank employees complied with the robber’s demand. The robber left the bank after gathering an undetermined amount of cash. The robber was seen driving eastbound through the bank parking lot towards Western Avenue. The robber was driving a red Nissan Xterra with a gray bottom. No one was injured in today’s robbery.

The robber was described as a black male, 6’0” in height, with a thin build. He was wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap, blue in color windbreaker-style jacket, and orange to reddish-color nylon pants. He had a couple days growth of facial hair and walked with a severe limp. The shotgun was a semi-automatic firearm with a sawed-off barrel.

The robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Oklahoma City Police Department.
