Alleged Facebook Schemer Wanted by the U.S. Marshals



Buffalo, NY - The U.S. Marshals Service is currently searching for fugitive Paul Ceglia, 41, based on arrest warrant that was issued in the Western District of New York by U.S. Magistrate Judge McCarthy.

Ceglia was awaiting trial in the Southern District of New York for allegedly creating a "multi-billion-dollar scheme" to defraud Facebook. Ceglia was released on bail and ordered to wear an ankle bracelet. The federal arrest warrant was issued after the investigation determined that Ceglia removed the ankle bracelet and fled his residence in Wellsville, New York.

Ceglia’s whereabouts are unknown but he is believed to be traveling his wife Iasia, two children and the family dog.
