Williamsport, PA - Today, U.S. Marshal Martin Pane announced
the arrest of Dwayne Hall, a 25-year old man, on charges of criminal Homicide
and other related offenses.
Earlier today, Deputy U.S. Marshals and task force officers
from the U.S. Marshals Service’s (USMS) Middle District of Pennsylvania arrested
Hall at a housing complex in Williamsport. Hall was turned over to local
authorities pending court proceedings.
Hall was charged by the Williamsport Bureau of Police with
criminal homicide, aggravated assault, Firearms not to be carried without a license,
possessing instruments of crime and person not to possess, use, manufacture,
control, sell or transfer firearms. It is alleged that on September 6, 2015,
Hall shot his victim, causing his death, in the 700 block of West 4th Street,
Williamsport.
United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “Our society
must not tolerate such violence and should be committed to ensuring that
dangerous fugitives are brought before the court. We are committed to ensuring
this and it is my sincere hope this arrest brings some sense of calm to the
citizens of Williamsport and the surrounding communities.”
The United States Marshals Service worked jointly in this
investigation with personnel from the Williamsport Bureau of Police, Lycoming
County Sheriff’s Office, Pennsylvania State Police, Berwick Police Department
and the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole.
