Fugitive Kills Self in Anchorage, AK as U.S. Marshals Attempt Apprehension



Anchorage, AK - Brendan James Doyle, a fugitive wanted by the U.S. Marshals, ended his life this evening at approximately 6:00 p.m. with a self-inflicted gunshot to the head.

Doyle, 31, was wanted on a federal warrant issued by the U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska on April 20, 2016. Doyle was charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm. The U.S. Marshals Service-Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force had approached a motorhome located near the alley at the 900 block of E 12th Avenue, Anchorage, AK where Doyle was living. The task force was attempting to apprehend Doyle when he shot himself. No members of the public or law enforcement officers were injured during this incident.

The arrest team consisted of Deputy U.S. Marshals and a Task Force Officer from the Alaska State Troopers.
