U.S. Marshals Capture Old Dominion University Robbery Suspect in D.C.

Norfolk, VA - A man wanted for allegedly robbing an Old Dominion University (ODU) student in June was arrested yesterday by U.S. Marshals in Washington D.C. Lyndon Adraine Scott, 25, was charged with five felonies by the ODU Police Department. Around 12:30 p.m. on June 17, 2016, it is alleged that Scott, also known as “Fatz,” robbed an ODU student at gunpoint in the 1000 block of West 39th Street in Norfolk. The ODU Police Department investigated the incident and on August 5, 2016, ODU police obtained warrants charging Scott with robbery, abduction, malicious wounding, use of firearm in commission of a felony, and possession of firearm by a convicted felon. The U.S. Marshals in Norfolk were asked to take over the fugitive investigation for Scott, and determined Scott was in the D.C. area.

Late yesterday morning, members of the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Scott on the premises of an apartment building complex located at 901 New Jersey Avenue Northwest, in Washington D.C. Scott was held overnight at the District of Columbia central cellblock.
